'Yatoro is extremely confident and knows his stuff' - Interview with Mirele`, who replaced Larl in Spirit
We talked with Mirele` from Yellow Submarine, who had to replace the midlaner of Team Spirit at FISSURE Universe: Episode 6. Recall that due to complications after surgery, Larl could not participate in the tournament.
- Congratulations on the victory! This is your first win against 4Pirates in the history of the tag, how do you feel now?
- No special emotions, just a win, nothing special.
- Tell us about your nickname? Why Mirele?
- I had an acquaintance, a fan of a singer with the same nickname, I just saw this nick in Dota and set it the same. I didn't listen to her myself, but the acquaintance was a fan.
- How was your experience playing in Team Spirit?
- I liked it, it was an unusual experience — to play at a high level.
- How did your games go? Were you just a performer or did you try to stand out to be noticed?
- I tried to do the basic things as much as possible to just play stably well because I understood that the team is strong on its own, and it will do most of the work for me, and I just have to demolish in 20 minutes.
- What feedback did the players themselves give, maybe some advice?
- They helped with some game advice. I am satisfied with the experience, they are also more or less satisfied. Overall, everything went pretty well.
- What emotions did you experience after losing in the grand final?
- After the defeat, there was a tilt, immediately went to play pubs to reset. In short, it's a reason to become better. Defeats in the final help, actually.
- Did you not fall much in morale?
- No, on the contrary, there was a desire to develop more, to play more.
- Were you very worried before the final?
- Not particularly worried, just an ordinary game, nothing special.
- Are you ready to break into a tier-1 team in the new season?
- We'll see how it goes.
- Which team would you like to join?
- I liked Team Spirit. I have never played in other teams, and I like Team Spirit internally. I don't really know about other teams, how everything happens inside.
- Are you studying now?
- Studied at the university, then took an academic leave.
- Do you plan to resume?
- I think not.
- Is there anyone from the tier-1 scene with whom it would be unpleasant for you to play? Maybe you consider someone toxic or is there someone you just wouldn't get along with?
- I think there are no such people. In pubs, everyone is different, it doesn't count at all. I don't judge by pubs how people behave.
- Team Spirit often play as the second number and are known for their constant comebacks, do you like this style of play or do you want to play from an advantage?
- Depending on the situation. When you come back, it's nice, of course, to realize this, but still, you want to always play cleanly, ideally, so that the games end quickly, without a comeback.
- Could you play in an English-speaking team at this stage, does your language level allow it?
- My English is so-so, but I could, yes, Dota English is maximally basic, you don't need to know much.
- Is there a player you really enjoyed working and communicating with?
- I played with Yatoro, I think he is extremely confident and knows his stuff.
- Is there a player with whom you have chemistry and who you like as a person?
- I think there is chemistry with bottega.
- In Season 1 of CIS Battle, the group stage went great for you, you came out in 1st place. And in the playoffs, literally 2 games passed, and you immediately flew out of the tournament. What went wrong?
- 1win Team are just strong opponents, and 4Pirates we constantly lost to. Just unlucky opponents, but we could have beaten both 1win Team and 4Pirates. We just made mistakes ourselves, and it all piled up.
At the moment, Mirele` has a rank of 198 and plays for Yellow Submarine at CIS Battle 2. In the group stage of this tournament, the team Mirele` is in second place with a score of 4-3. At the same time, L1ga Team is leading, having taken 12 maps in a row — this is the longest win streak in the history of the tag.
CIS Battle 2 takes place from August 25 to September 3 in an online format with a prize pool of 15 thousand dollars.
