Voting for the Video Game Industry Hall of Fame begins in Russia
Video Game Industry Development Organization (RVI) announced the start of the third public voting for the Video Game Industry Hall of Fame — it will last from November 5 to December 5.
The project was founded by the Video Game Industry Development Organization (RVI) in 2023 to immortalize the achievements of Russian developers, journalists, and entrepreneurs who have had the greatest impact on the development of the industry, as well as to inspire a new generation of developers and create a focal point for the gaming community.
The selection of participants takes place in 4 stages:
- 1. The video game community and over 300 RVI experts compile a large list of candidates for inclusion in the Hall of Fame.
- 2. RVI founders review the proposed options and form a shortlist of contenders.
- 3. Public voting begins — everyone can participate and cast their vote in special applications Telegram and VKontakte.
- 4. The organization sums up the results and announces the winners.
According to the results of previous years, the Hall of Fame included “Tetris”, “Space Rangers”, Atomic Heart, “Truckers 2”, Heroes of Might and Magic V, and “Allods Online”. In the nomination “People who influenced the industry”, developers such as Alexey Pajitnov, Sergey Orlovsky, Andrey Kuzmin, Dendy founder Viktor Savyuk, hosts and journalists — Sergey Suponev, Boris Repetur, and Anton Zaitsev, as well as many other figures were noted.

Voting will last until December 5 inclusive. Throughout the month, materials about the nominees of the Hall of Fame will be published in the official RVI public pages — subscribers will be able to learn more about the participants.
Upon completion of the voting, the organizers will sum up the results and announce the winners on the stage of the pop culture festival Comic Con Igromir at the “Timiryazev Center”.
