On the eve of TI 2025, footballer Fyodor Smolov joined BetBoom Team
BetBoom Team released a video in which they introduced their new "player" — the famous Russian footballer Fyodor Smolov.
The video, styled as a real announcement, begins with hints of seriousness of intentions. Players of BetBoom Team comment on the transfer as follows:

Recall that this is not the first appearance of Fyodor Smolov in the esports environment. He previously participated in BetBoom Streamers Battle 3 for CS 2, where he managed to stand out not only with his game but also with his expressiveness. During one of the matches, the footballer made a sharp remark towards an opponent's mother. However, he later publicly apologized and made amends with a bouquet of flowers.
Throughout his career, Fyodor has achieved a lot. He is the holder of the Russian Cup 2018/19, 2020/21, and the Russian Super Cup 2019, as well as the Russian Champion 2024/25. However, such achievements are hardly enough to play professionally in Dota 2. We can only hope that Smolov will simply boost the team's morale before the most important tournament of the year. The main thing is that he doesn't have to urgently replace someone from the main roster at The International 2025, because at the end of the video announcement, the footballer clarified that he is not moving anywhere, but just visiting the team's bootcamp:

The International 2025 will take place from September 4 to 14 in Hamburg. At the moment, the tournament's prize pool is $2,357,185.
